Still trying to adjust to life back in the world after almost two weeks in JA. Still trying to wrap my head around working again instead of a stroll on the West End Road in the mornings.
OK... so the flight down was pretty uneventful. Flew out of Toronto and landed in Charlotte. I was a bit worried because I only had an hour to catch my connecting flight and and I was a bit stressed because I usually fly direct and catching a connecting flight in a a short time in an airport I have never been to kind of worried me. However, it was easy, no problem finding my connection and the people at the Charlotte airport were very friendly and helpful.Before I knew it I was back up in the air and on my way to Mo Bay.
Now the young woman sitting behind me on the plane is very talkative. She is in her mid twenties and her husband is fast asleep so she is striking up a conversation with anyone sitting around her. Turns out that she won a trip to Negril but her work wouldn't allow her to go because she just started a new job, so she decided to quit and go on her holiday.
The guy sitting across the aisle from her is a guy in his mid thirties who is traveling to Negril for the 13th year in a row. He is recalling some of his experiences in Negril and I found him interesting because this is his 13th trip and he is still VERY excited about getting there, you can sense the anticipation in his voice.
We land and immigration is a breeze, in no time at all I am heading to the JUTA counter to pay my $20 to get me to Negril. Now travelling with JUTA can be a blessing or a curse. I have used them in the past and have had no issues. This trip would prove a little different however. I am escorted out the doors of Sangster International and on to a big tourist bus (the biggest tourist bus you can imagine). The driver and and his assistant are the only ones aboard. The driver tells me that he has been instructed to wait for one hour before departing for Negril as a flight is arriving in the next few minutes and he will have some passengers to fill up his bus. So there we sit in the bus for one hour talking about this and that.
The driver is a nice enough guy so the time goes by quickly. Eventually the driver gets instructions to leave for Negril, the expected passengers are delayed. So off we go to Negril, three of us on this huge bus.
We get to Negril and the driver decides that the big bus cannot navigate the hill and the corner to reach my hotel so I am dropped at the bottom of the hill with my luggage and have to drag it up the hill myself. Thank God the sun was setting and there was a breeze in the air. I wouldn't want to try that in the hot sun for fear of suffering a stroke.
Eventually I make it and after dumping my bags in the lobby I head for the bar.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Awwww!</span> Negril soon come for you Seveen.
Now I must do some work before I get fired. I will continue when I can.
This turned out to be more of a relaxing holiday than an adventure so keep your expectations of an interesting trip report low.
