the girls leave back for the country ~ and we all flop off to bed ...

today is my last full day ... I have a long time girlfriend coming to lunch ~ Hi Friend!!

up early to begin cooking before the kitchen gets hotted up ~

Mr. was curious to know what I would serve along with the item I was preparing ... cuz - he likes to offer nuff food pon plates we serve ~


hmmm - Marion can do some dumplins ... and he would get in some corn on the cob ~



Lord God ... this puss takes such a pose ... I guess she hot too ~





I tell you what ... I am going to need to come up with things that do not depend pon an oven for my cooking in Jamaica.

we had trouble last year with the oven for Dawta's cake, this year our new oven did bake her cake and did a partial bake of the pudding ... then - it would not lite ... he tried and tried ...

so - I begged Jacynth's oven ... it did bake my potato basil fritata to 'cooked' ... and then that quit ... could not get it to lite and heat again for 'browning' the top of my dish.

anyhoo - I brought it back over to our kitchen ... and did a sample test ~ in front of my guest so they knew I was not double dipping my spoon ... and WHEEEWWW - it was servable!!




there is SOMETHING about the corn on the cob in Jamaica ... it is SO DANG GOOD!!!

Marion was fixing some plates for the girls when they returned from school ... her oldest daughter had joined us to help care for the baby if Marion had to leave to see to the rest of her children back at her home.

while she was a bit shy around my girlfriend during her visit ... she let loose once it was just us family ..

she did nuff love my cooking ... each thing I prepared for them ~ but this one - she loved it!!

I fell onto my bed for a bit of a nap ... I was to be taken out on a date on my last night.

NP! Happy that u r sharing with us ....Glad that he's protective, especially nowadays with all the crazies that r running rampant
