Back on the beach, love this one cos there is absolutely nothing in the picture but sky sea and sand think I might use it as the background picture on my laptop.....(and anyone else who wants to do that, no problem).
Sunday lunchtime at Selina's Coffeeshop and Restaurant when they have live music (starts at 10a.m), always a great atmosphere that place, very relaxed.
love how they painted their fence!
and this one: what is it, can you eat it? and if so, raw or cooked? and how does it taste?
is it breadfruit?? (in Africa they get enormous).....
I specifically wanted to be on the beach, also for the nightly reggae concerts within walking distance, being on the cliffs means 2 taxi drives every night if going out. But Legends has a sister hotel, Samsara, on the cliffs and you could go there by shuttle, so I did one day (but walked back to the internet caf instead of waiting for the return shuttle). Anyway, Samsara is very nice the way it is located and the lay-out, but I would feel stuck there if staying - well, you can walk to Ricks but 1 night of that is enough for me - and the atmosphere at Legends was better, more friendly and relaxed, both guests and staff.
Love those cabanas on stilts, but not sure if they are guest rooms or whatever...
this is looking the other way, they had 2 pools, and one is great, with double beds lying next to them with canopies against the sun, very cosy, and the pool itself is shallow with loungers in it, so you can lie on a lounger in the pool

That's funny, Seveen, I had to think of you walking past BarBBarn, isn't that where you stay?
It was funny, cos I'd woken up very early that day - still in Holland time-zone - and went to walk on the beach before breakfast when it became light, met a rasta who asked if I wanted to have a smoke , (as they would say in Ireland "Is the pope a Catholic?!"so we relaxed with a smoke, I bought some shells from him (also forbidden, I know.... ) he ended up saying he would "like to have a nice lady wife like you, mon"
Like I said to the German guy in the hotel, "I could find myself a new husband every day in this place"
Loved this place, next door. I heard the restaurant was good, but never made it as planned (life is what happens when making other plans - John Lennon).
I actually do have a nice sunset picture. I was when my camera fizzled out on me just at the sunset when I was up at 3 Dives for jerk chicken. Nice place, nice and wild and uncommercialised.
with a little store next door, which I always like to support if I can, so bought some kidney beans ("peas", (orange juice, crisps etc) and Jamaican honey now that is great to look at every time I open the kitchen cupboard!! (and it has replaced the Cuban honey which was finished....)
