well, great until he told me he didn't want me talking to any other men cos some guy came up to talk to me one night at the reggae concert >sigh<

Oh purlease!! same sh*te different day.....that's what my ex-husband said to me 2 weeks after our marriage....! ("what? you mean I can't even ask the baker for a loaf of bread??!!"
next thing I would've had to leave work "cos you come into contact with men!!" )

I'll talk to whoever I want, thank you very much! And what, cos it's a man, you think I am going to run off with him?!!

Pathetic, these people who think they can control someone else.
The only effect it has on me is...

this lovely little kid was looking at me like &quot;what the h*ll?!!&quot; I think I maybe the first white person he ever saw.....
Reminds me of being in the wilds of Mali (Africa) and if you came across kids in a remote village they would run away screaming....
then a guy said, yea, they've never seen a toubab before, they think you are a ghost
(a toubab, like ******* in East Africa, means a white person, toubab coming from &quot;two bob&quot; which is english slang for shilling, the old coinage. Maybe the first white person in the area offered two bob to cross the river Niger...)

The sign may seem funny, but that is All the legal action needed to start a bar.

The majority of bars in Jamaica, that is all They have as far as operators license goes.

this is Homer's Cove. Again the sky is dramatic, in fact it rained soon after.

rain! (love the rain - the english guests were complaining of course - in places like that, cos a. it's warm!! and b. it never rains long and then the sun comes out and the earth starts steaming, and the vegetation blooming!!)



and why complain?! I'm cosy in the car, it's still driving (had friends in Ibiza whose car would mysteriously stop in the rain!), and great music to listen to.....
