One of the owners of the Spanish Court is also the owner of Eden Gardens.( the son)
While I was staying there (eden gdns) all a di staff was bellyaching about how every dry penny was being poured into di newborn(Spanish Court)

Peps, the spanish court hotel look nice...mi si it from de outside an wasn't impressed, but might hafi move it to # 2 on mi list of hotels to stay in town...

yeah right ! Eden Gardens suited me because it close to new Kgn...mi can walk to di supermarket(Jogn R Wong) and i could tek a short walk and ketch a van to Papine Market .and i loved walking in the neighbourhood early mornings ... I like to cook some of meals , an mi nuh like coop up inna one room when me can have a suite ...kitchen, living, dining, bedroom and feel like mi inna one apt .. the staff is great.. and friendly ..and yu get daily housecleaning fi di money . yu get stereo, tv, internet access..and such.. pool is on the premises and so is a spa , a gym ..(private) . I stayed dere for about 3 months last yr ..I was quite comfortable there..

Mi drive by it many times but mi did tink seh a apartment complex and not a hotel dat.

It look nice still. How much dem charge per night?
Caw fi dem website nuh too forthcoming with prices.

Thanks. That is a nice location. Close enough to take a nice walk into New Kingston and near by a residential area.

I checked out their website, is it an all-suite/apartment property? I hear you on the entertaining thing. Having guests walk in off the street and sit on my bed is also a pet peeve of mine.

Do you know what their rates are like? I couldn't find anything published on the site.

That is one thing I missed out on this trip. It rained every morning while I was there and when in New Kingston, I enjoy walking the track and people watching at Emancipation Park.

The first time I went there early morning, I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of people out there getting in their morning walk. I showed up in heels with a big bowl of porridge, so I sat, ate and watched the walkers. But after that I joined them.

One fren of mine asked me if me nay fraid. And although I am not from town, me always feel safe ovah deh.

My biggest pet peeve in life <span style="font-style: italic">(aside from shopping at Sleepy’s Mattress )</span> is people who put the wrong sized lamp shade on a lamp – and the wrong sized lamp on a table.
