yes Laurel, to get to Wmsfield you go past Sav, when you reach the fork in the road (one side goes to Ferris Cross and the other goes thru the back way to MoBay) you take the fork leading to Mobay, pass over the Cabarita river, and it is further up that way, past Amity. The swimming hole DD posted here is located at the "Venture River Water Improvement Project" area; (sometimes also referred to as the the "Mayfield falls rest stop".) It's mostly local folks, and not to be confused with the new attraction that recently opened up nearby - which is another swimming hole also located on the Venture river. That other (new) place is called 'Steven's Aqua Nature Park'; and it has been built into a tourist attraction with admission fee, snack bar, etc. this place is just left natural and it is purely delightful -- was just there day before yesterday and i tellya i stayed in that cool clear pure water til i was COLD
and all the overheat left my body. never wanted to leave.....
