One family owns alll the land on this mtnside
The father went to work in Cuba bak in the day n came bak n bought the whole thing....now all 8 children have built homes even while some work abroad at this time. ...everywhere u look is lush vegetation, more so now that evening a come dung n the place post rain is green amidst some mist.... U tink of it n it is here .... Striking opposite of my old family house n property which shows the decades of neglect.. Remember thinking wen I saw it that my fastidious mom, even as a ghost would not be there
But some happenings carry lasting feelings n the happenings bak in '87 stillcolour my attitude towards the place...last time there was in '02...took pictures still
I could not see through the overgrowth behind the house down into the valley of farmland... My father use to take whatever Hope Experimental Farm was giving away to plant on ur land
Cocoa pods hung listlessly on the trees, some bearing rat bites.. Brought bak the memory of persons coming to ask to go through the cocoa grove to catch the rats...they fed solely on the cocoa n many believed that boiling them n drinking the broth cured asthma n whooping cough...not me doah....yuch!
Mobay bound in a likkle while n going to hang there until I fly out...got a beachfront that is going to be my solace for about 4days... Been staying at different out-of-the-way places, but this one is going to just me, myself n I....forget sometimes how crowded the many reunions with friends can be...no one allowed at mi secret place in Mobay...plus I want to visit my Dad's family village r whatever u call weh dem come from

Brought back memories of driving from Mo Bay to St Bess via Newmarket way. It is shorter but lawd the road some places
The rest of St Bess I know the area pretty well and could easily follow you on the road.

Regards of how it mite sound , any future trips to yard gwine to see di Empress ensconced in 4star up... But late decision to stay in MoBay made di I haffi deal wid wat is laffably rated as 3 1/2 , part of a major chain.... It is borderline hysterical to see what goes for ocean view

Aquasol is pretty local too
Butch's son has a place on Doctor's Cave Beach
and the best ocean view is Montego Bay Club - some real ocean and people watching from there
