Saturday arrived and finally I had a free day. I could do whatever I wanted to do that day. I chose to go to Doctor’s Cave beach. It’s been a long long long time and I just wanted to go to the beach and hung out. One of my friends came down from Kingston on Friday night just to ensure that I get a day of relaxation. I truly love them. I got picked up and was dropped off at the very familiar spot despite how long I’ve been away. I paid my $450J, and found a nice spot under a coconut tree.



Awwwwww….the smell of the salt water was glorious.



The sand was warm but it felt so good to feel Jamaican sand under my feet again.

This was my day to spend however I wanted to. So I decided to do just that.

After a few hours on the beach getting burned to a crisp, it was time to go, although I really wasn’t ready to leave. Quick shower, change and it was time to walk down the Hip Strip to meet up with Sashana who had to go to work.

Mi and Sash and a bunch of guinep….yeah…life continues to be good.





Since arriving in Jamaica I was told I had to get a cheese patty at Juici Patties. I honestly had no clue that a cheese patty meant they just added cheese to the regular beef patty. I order one cheese and a regular beef. I gotta tell you, the cheese patty was sooooooooooooo good. The regular beef was a letdown after having the cheese patty. Now I know. Cheese patty all the way next time.

The journey to the church was interesting. Yes we were in Montego Bay but lawd have mercy, we had to go through some bumpy roads. I thought I was back in Africa. My friend Sashana came with the Bishop to pick me up but I didn’t suspect anything. I noticed when we stopped for gas that she was talking to him privately and they had only met the previous evening. I still didn’t suspect anything. I arrived at the church and was escorted to the pulpit. I noticed my friend going outside quite a bit, I was still oblivious to what was happening. I told the folks who are a part of the ministry that they can never surprise me…hmmmmm…I was about to eat my words.
