The 2nd photo is that what is left of Yahimba, when I saw it it reminded me of hanging out in that area last summer, meeting the new owner who had just invested her savings into the purchase of the place. She was making improvements and repairs, in fact she had just put a concrete parking lot in. I see the beauty of these two places but sadly I see the destruction caused by the hurricanes also. So Sad, but so Beautiful and inviting. Jamaica is such a contradiction for me. But it's my place of choice.

how eerie. i have a cousin who's deaf and remember when we were teens meeting a deaf friend of hers who was darkskinned and blue-eyed as well. i wonder if it's genetic.

life on commadore hill is laid back . . . usually up around 6 a.m. . . . coffee on the balcony overlooking the ocean and live around . . . people going on about their business . . .

pepper, i don't know what's up with the naked men, but i saw one in every parish this trip . . . this one was just strolling down the street without a care in the world . . .alone . . . didn't stop to find out if he's ok . . .

i insisted that we share the meal . . . had a great 1/2 day with great conversation with rex

i only planned to stay 3 days . . . was having a blast so i just stayed . . .
on the way down to winnifred . . .

my rasta friend (dado)'s place directly above the restaurant in winnifred beach

dado or bano, real name winston . . . he's a diver . . . sad story . . . his wife carla (belgian) left two years ago, taking his two boys with her. she needed more comforts, like current, water and just more comforts. he's broken about it.

i traded with him, batteries(needs them for night diving) for lobster and he cooked while i napped on his patio.

dave tells me i have a lot of balls mixing the way i do. just the way i like it . . . free and easy . . .




dado has lots of fruit trees growing in the yard, free range chickens and lots of baby chicks, eggs all over even in the bamboo rental cottage . . .

i [censored] dado out about the way he walked with me in porty . . . i felt like i was walking with a renta a dread instead of a friend . . . after a lot of explanations, he got it.

while at winnifred, i spotted some young people at the other end of the beach . . .when i reached closer, i saw that they were cooking. they already prepared the fish and now were cooking the rice. i sent one of the young guys for liquor and they shared their food and spent about an hour talking about life in jamaica for the young people . . . nice time . . . good vibes . . .
