Our breakfast spot. On this particular morning I was intrigued by the Aerobic Omelette, which was supposedly healthy. When it arrived, horror of horrors, it was filled with Spinach and Mushrooms <yuck!>. It didn't say that on the menu, but I picked out the mushrooms, tolerated the Spinach, and tried to make the best of what was a baaaaddddd situation.









Don't ask...it had been a long and exhausting day, but she was hanging in there.

By this time, it was about dusk and we had been walking around for several hours our second time out.



Below, notice the stop lights were all red? In the pic above, they were all green. I like the uniformity as it makes for consistent traffic flow.

If I recall correctly, this set of structures represents the city's ethnic diversity. There are 203(?) of them, they were purposefully done without faces, all going in various directions.

The Hilton Chicago is an excellent facility, however don't try self check-in if you arrive early. The computers will &quot;think&quot; for about 15 minutes before telling you it can't be done \o/

Actually CEW, there were 106 of them. According to the guide, they are a representation of the individuality of the people of the city because none of the sculptures are moving in the same direction.

Friday was our last in Chicago as we had to get back to Michigan for <span style="font-style: italic">churchgirl's</span> graduation from Wayne State (WSU) on Saturday morning. We had enough time to get breakfast, some final pictures, before leaving to catch our train. Today it was raining and miserable; yesterday's beautiful weather was now a pleasant memory.

It had been a great time in the Windy City, and the mental health break was just what the 'doctor' ordered. I'm already looking forward to the next break, and whatever adventure that brings.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Lex:</span> Thanks for stopping by. One of my spiritual mothers gave me that thought while I was in my teens, and I've never forgotten it. It was a different situationi then, but the principle can apply to just about any situation in life. Glad you liked the pics.
