Re the tour, great! I would really love to see more of Ottawa, and Montreal as well. Can't believe you've been in Ottawa and only did your first parliamentary tour last year

I heard about the changing of the guard, and it should be good to see though I don't believe it could top the one I saw at Buckinham Palace. That was full of pomp and everything else.

In 1928, the Supreme Court of Canada (SCC) ruled that according to the British North American Act, women were not qualified to serve in the Senate. Section 24 of the BNAC of 1867 was interpreted by five successive federal governments, prior to 1928, that women were ineligible to serve on the basis that they were not &quot;qualified persons.&quot; In 1929 the Privy Council reversed the decision of the SCC, concluding that the word &quot;persons&quot; in that section of the Act included both male and female sex.

The news headlines read &quot;Women Are Persons&quot;, and the four Alberta women integral in taking the fight to the courts, along with Judge Emile Murphy who mobilized them, are immortalized on The Hill: Henrietta Muir-Edwards, Louise McKinney, Nellie McClung, and Irene Parlby.

Almost forgot; there was a basketball tourney going on. The 'good guys' playing against the #1 seeded team.
Good defenders watch the opponent's eyes in order to anticipate the play.


Yawn...the 'good guys' win. We went 2-1 in the tourney.


If The Junior gets his way, there'll be lots more trip to here.
