Wow...I have thoroughly enjoyed the report of your trip. You've done something that most of us only dream about. I am sorry to hear of your misfortune, but am glad to know that you have many, many fine memories of the people and places that you enjoyed during your trip.

You have written this so well, I understood it almost as if I were there in person. I agree, you should at some point visit Ghana again, and I hope that you will find that there have been some improvements on your next trip.

I guess, the thing you've made me think about is the fact that we take so many of the simple things here in the West for granted. I have heard many people say that visiting Africa is an eye-opener and that the differences between lifestyles of individuals even in the same country can at times be startling. For instance, one home may have all the modern conveniences, and even be luxurious by US standards, and then in another community not too far off they don't even have sanitary facilities and running water.

Sadly this is not only true of Africa, but even certain parts of Jamaica. I fear also that if things do not improve significantly in this dear country of ours.....that the gap between rich and poor in this country will become so vast...that you'll have either the very rich or the very poor and no middle class.

However, that's another subject for another day. Thanks again for sharing these precious moments from your Ghana trip with us.

ReggaeGirl, hats off to you. Your writing is so vivid. I was there with you and saw the pictures through your words. I saw the lady smiling at you, the two girls chatting...well one chatting and the other smiling...reminded me of me and my friend. I usually do the listening and smiling. I heard the waves with you and felt the sting of the sun. Priceless experience.

I admire your spirit that despite all the negatives you still want to go back. I pray that you will get the opportunity to go and I know that you will have a wonderful time.

No franchise that I saw... different pizza places all over. No McDonalds, or any fast food &quot;western&quot; restaurants, none at all

In the report mi say in da robbery mi lose camera, video, etc... everyting So..... no photos... had about 300 though!
