Re: Te-tu-re / touch-the-sky
Mi not even memba where mi reach now...
like Day four or something??? anyway it's the day after we did pretty much nothing and then we went to the TIKI Village that night so it is Sunday...
Let me backtrack a bit - Prior to leaving the US we had tried to decide what activities we wanted to do when we got to Moorea... I had seen Shark and Ray feeding advertised and I wanted to book it - but hubby was VERY sceptical - so we decided to wait till we go there and see how we felt.
In Tahiti we had spoken to this lady at the tour desk about it and hubby told her he was planning to collect insurance money off me if the excursion didn't quite go as planned... well she told him to come see her after I had my little "accident"
- we were still undecided at this point. - Her name was MAHANA which means SUN

When we went to Moorea and as we were getting off the ferry we had a brochure thrust at us it said
HIRO'S SHARK AND RAY FEEDING TOURS
The tour includes swimming with the sharks and sting rays and then going to a MOTU (which is a small island) for an all day picnic and fun activities
The brochure had one price crossed out and another written in below "the special price"
so on Sunday we spoke to a young couple from Canada who told us they had booked a similar tour through the hotel - so we decided to go check it out... MIster man told me in NO uncertain terms that he would accompany me on the tour - but NO WAY ON EArTH he is getting into the water with the critters... and he was gonna make sure the insurance policies were updated if I insisted on going
When we went to the front desk - the price they gave us sounded a bit much - so I said let's not book until I check that brochure again... sure enough HIROs price (the handwritten one) was lower...
That HIRO could not even remember what he had written he asked us what price it said on the brochure

then he said - for that price you have to pay cash...
so we ended up wakling out to the small airport (only puddle jumpers use it) to get to an ATM so we coud have cash for HIRO... and we booked the tour for the Tuesday.
the rest of the pictures includes scenery from our walk out to the airport, lounging in the pool and scenery from around the hotel property (well scratch lounging in the pool - the water was FRIGID COLD - even after excessive swimming I was still chattering - I stayed long enough to take apic and then hauled my butt out of there BRRRRRRRR) - you would think they would spring fro a heater or something - the pool was pretty much just nice to look at - the whole time we were there maybe only about three people were brave enough to get in.
