What a great trip report! Love the musical accompaniment. Have a Cesoria Evora CD. Wonderful music.
The photos are great! Makes me want to visit (hm, maybe not at those prices....!).
Seeing those baobabs really brings me back, (as well as the women). Yea, it's normal to see the women in African with their babies on their back. Great multi-tasking! Even when they're working in the fields.
what you said about women not carrying water on their head in Kenya....I think you may be right now I think about it....I travelled all over for 3 months, many moons ago now, but also did 3 months in West Africa, where they all carry it like that. In Gambia I went to get water and the women all collapsed about in fits of laughter when I staggered back with the bucket in my hand...
(No digital cameras in those days, I just have "normal" photos and slides).

Glad you enjoyed Marielle. I'm scanning some of the old pictures so that I have them saved digitally.
But there's just too many so it's nearly impossible to do.Comment

Hmm, yes, scanning etc. Something still on my "to do" list. Even learning HoW to do it....> I've got some amazing slides of Africa and it's a pity they are just lying around in boxes...
I know it's possible to get them put on disc at the local photo shop.

You better start with the slides. They fade pretty quick. If you don't do it within 15 years they will be pale and lose colour.Comment
