bangkok & phucket in thailand

just got back from two magical weeks visiting my cousin who lives in thailand (land of many things, icluding suggestive place names ). have some pictures and stories to share, once i get a grip on the jet lag and get reacclimatized to the cold.

for now i'll post a sound that scared the heck out of me my first morning. the rising shrieks made me think it was some animal being attacked but turns out it's just a bird. check out the 1 min mark especially.

I love Thailand. Haven't been in 5 years though.
Did you go to the Ko Phi Phi islands?
Did you go to THE beach on Ko Phi Phi Lay?
Did you take a boat trip to the Phangnga Bay (sp?)

In Bangkok did you take a boat trip though the canals of the old Bangkok?
Did you see any morning floating markets?
How did you like the Royal Palace?

Did you see the Duppy Houses that each building has for the duppy to live in?
Did you see any Banyan trees where the old duppy houses are thrown away when the duppy get a new duplex?

no luck. i have a few photos, but the heart and soul of my trip were on those lost cards. i took those photos with jcans.com in mind, so they were like a little documentary.

if i feel up to it, i'll do a truncated report this weekend with the few pix i have.

Hey, but your cousin lives there, no? So, you can get back there (even without a cousin), and make sure you keep that Memory Card close to your important papers, like passport.....

Yesterday met up with an old buddy, who goes to Thailand often, he's a professional photographer, now he has a girlfriend there, with 3 kids, and he was showing me amazing, beautiful photos.....

He bought a house!!!!!!!!!!!!! on the border with Cambodia - Anghkor Watt (Anchor what?? lol), and right next door to a buddhist temple with an amazing lama who told him some news a week before the hospital told him the same thing.....


Can't wait to visit!
