Ms Exced - thanks :hug&quot;: I just got in from the market again. We had dinner and walked around the place a bit. Not too many vendors during the week although many were setting up for the weekend.

I visited my favorite old world grocery store which is accros the street to buy some more rum and raisin fudge Really terrific stuff.


I also wanted to let the owner know that Ihe didnt kill me the other day I told him I had a nut allergy but we got to talking for 15 mins so when he offered me a chocolate sample he forgot what I said earlier. I started to react BADLY to the nuts - couldnt breathe...BP dropping etc. and the poor man was so upset with himself.


I had my epipen with me but didnt want to use it quite yet because if I do I must go to the hospital afterwards. So he directed Mr Nylah to the nearest Boots pharmacy on Liverpool street. They have doctors on site there. I was weak by time I got there but after taking an antihistimine and sittting for a good while I was okay.

That was a bit scary though and poor Mr Nylah as afraid he'd have to tell my mum he killed off her daughter

So when I stepped back in his store the man hugged me up in pure relief He was genuinely worried for me and was wondering how I faired. He appreciated that I came back to tell him and gave me some beautiful Italian chocolate and cherry jam for my troubles

He even implemented a new policy for samples that he instructed his staff about yesterday because of what happened to me

I'll post pictures of the grocery store in a bit. He deserves to recognition because despite of what happened he was a really nice man.

After that I didnt have the energy to walk around, plus it began to rain, so Mr Nylah drove around the Warf areas and pointed out some historic sites in the Liverpool Street/Spitafields area. Again, will post pix later with info. He is a right proper tour guide.

I eventually began to crash hard and couldnt keep my eyes open so back to my auntie's house I came, and now I am just resting for a bit.

Just waiting on my cousins and dinner now. Stormmey will be happy with the oxtail being served but I am optioning for the chicken with my rice and peas instead

Yeah man, we both a <span style="font-weight: bold">Henglish</span> by birth and him have one of those made for Jepordy minds that have nuff useless and obscure information in it

and u see what u dont know too many yardies in this place for me to get a good and proper plate of Spotted Dick or Bangers and Mash

actually, I am sick of yard food I cant eat rice n peas, oxtail, boiled banana n yam, everyday even when I am in JA

gonna do sushi this weekend and there is an Indian restaurant called Tamarind that I want to check out

we spotted a nice Ertriean restaurant in Brixton the other day, so we plan to make it there on Saturday when we chekc out the market.

Mr Chow in Knightsbridge is exceptional too i love the fried seaweed

after that hit the food mall in Harrod's - that place is intriguing and smells like heaven to me

and of course I do food shopping at <span style="font-weight: bold">M&amp;S</span> (Marks &amp; Spencer)

Their gelato stand I had the low fat raspberry flavour and savoured every spoonful If you are not planning to sit and eat yor gelato at the counter, you cannot consume it while you are in the store.

You mean, they say, All right, LUV?!

A German friend of mine went to London for the first time to see a JA man she met here - he came for a w/e - and I had a right chuckle when she was saying, God, I was going round the market and everyone was calling me Love! Wondering, what do they want from me but then I realised that is just the way they greet you.

As for all the women smokers....I realised in Paris that I hardly ever see African women smoking....not in Europe or in Africa.
Well, economics too I guess. But very healthy!
