summer....and the first saturday of August we always have the Canal Parade

here they are off to the start point, under the bridge and to the right. They go down the Prinsengracht (canal), about a million(??) come to watch, many specially for that from all over the world, not only gays.

always a good laugh (that's the Frisian flag, a province in the north of Netherlands, where the black and white cows are named after, I guess they come from there originally....

actually it was quite boring last year....I have photos of years when they had the Gay Stetsons boat, line-dancing, Swan Lake doing ballet, all wearing tutus, ancient Egypt theme, Nikki Nicole black NY tranny, as Cleopatra being fanned by beautiful men in their egyptian finery ......

tourists flock to Amsterdam, they love the laid back chill atmosphere, just hang out in a coffeeshop, bar or restaurant, cafe outside-terrace, park, street bench, on a canal boat, walk the streets, whatever, and enjoy!

this coffeeshop is called Dutch Flowers they have a boat in the shape of a clog outside in the water. a wee thing, so sweet...
Across the water you have this Italian interior - Roman temple-style - Italian restaurant called Casa di David. I have been about two times, with tourist friends (i.e. old friends who came to A'dam for the weekend, or a few days), ended up outside smoking a j. with the italian waiter when we left ,
