Will do, for sure! My oldest sister &quot;brought me up&quot; listening to Elvis Presley and Tamla Motown (was given our first reggae single when I was 12! I was sold immediately ) and many years ago we said one day we'll do Graceland (cos her husband is not interested...), hope we get to do it before we're old and doddery LOL (but to be honest, so many more places higher up on my list....)

Ok graceland will be here when you are ready, and if plans pan out the whole area will REALLY be something to see so hold out some.

I think unless you're a die-hard fan of Elvis (as in have Elvis license plane number, and his furniture in your house) you will be disappointed.

His 'mansion' is really a badly furnished little house that's not at all spectacular, and it's set in a part of Memphis that has nothing to offer. There are thousands of obsessed tourists pushing around and the only interesting things to see there are his two private jets.

For me, Memphis is all about Interstate BBQ on 3rd Street and the Civil Rights Museum.

To a lesser extent Beale Street, and if the Elvis Museum didn't exist, it would not be detrimental to Memphis.
