Day 2 ~ Nassau



Fort Fincastle built by Lord Dunmore, about 1793 who named it after his second title, Viscount Fincastle.








Our driver and tour guide - doing a little jig...Very pleasant and informative. We did not book the shore excursion on board the ship (very costly)...One of my sisters who had already been on this cruise said it was cheaper and just as good hailing one of the taxi drivers on shore.

Nassau in town....we had lunch at this is the restaurant...food was good..I had a grouper sandwich....it was tasty. The conch fritters were delicious!



Nassau's famous "Straw Market"...all the vendors a sell di same ting and of course each one yone yuh pass waan yuh fi buy sitten an ave di "best price"...lol..











The cruise had a band called Prism who are from the Philippines...they were excellent!! Dem cyan SING (anything)!!! Here's a pic of them on Motown night...sorry it came out so dark.. The first night was a 70s party and the band sang tunes from back in da dayz....they are very entertaining. The guy "Andy" sang a wicked rendition of Me and Mrs. Jones...I would go back on this cruise just to be entertained by them again.

Day 3 ~ Great Stirrup Cay (Private Island)

Taken on board the little boat...the seas were quite choppy that day, the boat was rockin a way!!

Overall it was a very enjoyable cruise and recommended for anyone who likes to party. There's plenty food, you can eat when you want (no set times)...you can dress up/down. There were alot of youngsters on board, however, they were fun (a likkle loud and crazy) but made the cruise even more entertaining. I'm looking forward to round 2 whenever that will be...hopefully soon...

Edited to add:
My only gripes were that the bathroom was very small and the shower tiny (yuh cyan just about tun aroun inside deh)!! Also, I think they need to post more signs/directions around the ship....(or maybe my sisters and I just had no sense of direction!! lol). Also, alcohol is a little expensive (@$10 per drink once tip is figured in).

Thanks X!! Yeah, Atlantis is nice...mi figet ow much dem seh per night....quite expensive as far as mi cyan remember.
