Randy's has to be THE patty shop of choice for most Jamaicans. I was surprised at the number of people who pulled into the public parking lot, went to get a couple boxes of patties, and they were off. The funny thing is I tried the Randy's patties, and they just don't do it for me at all.

I visited here back in the school days. There weren't very many West Indian takeout restaurant so we would leave all the way from Keele & Sheppard some Friday nights just to get food at Rap's. they opened up about two months ago. two months being the life span of the other 96 restaurants that have occupied this spot in the 2+ years i've lived up that way [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] i just don't know how all these restaurants think they'll survive. utilities are expensive, rents are expensive and the clientelle is S - T - R - E - T - C - H - E - D. what i wouldn't give for a little greek flavoured restaurant that serves brunch late on sundays and saturdays. lord man, is ongle summuch jamaican food smaddy can nyam. weh dem tink seh. jamaican people walk wid dem belly inna dem hand?
