we arrive at the ruins the same time as the cruise ship passengers on the cruise endorsed tour and we fell in behind them to listen to the guide - they left at 8AM - we left at 10AM

i have visited some ruins in mexico before but these were very nice - it was representative of a mayan village

these ruins were uncovered in 1982 by chileans

the driver was trying to tell me something about these trees and the "fruit" hanging from them - that was lost in translation - but i am going to do some research on this ruin because there were several large pyramids and places for regular housing as well

we drifted from tour group to tour group listening to bits here and there - feeling guilty because we hadn't paid for a guided tour - they wanted $40 to do that and we were on time limitations

we stayed about an hour and a half and left before the other cruisers - but heck i was in a private taxi - what if a tire blew out or we ran out of gas - lol

so now it's 3PM on thursday - friday is day at sea - much to abu's delight - saturday morning bright and early we get released - yeah

our housekeeper was from indonesia - a lot of the staff was from there - there were also people from croatia, the philiphines, myarmar, jamaica (about 4 people) serbia

everyone was very nice and did their job to the tee - no complaints on service - probably off with your head if there are complaints

we had the smallest room you could get

i head to my spot after dinner and meet some new folks i've never met before and we promptly proceeded to get drunk

last day - it's really horrible when you are counting down for your vacation to be over

it's a sea day so nothing to do but drink and walk here and fro and flop into this chair and that chair - and just make it through the day

abu stayed up until 7AM and at one point i went to see if he was still in the room - he was - it was 3PM and he was p i s s e d he had missed most of the day - the last day with his "friends"
