that last night i hit up "my spot" the gang is all there and some folks we have seen but not really talked to

one of the brothers approaches a table with 2 couples and asks for a cigarette - one of the gentlemen says no - they sell cigarettes at the bar - upon which i thought a fight was going to break out

one of the people in my group - alerted one of the people in his group and the fight was averted - although things were tense for a moment

but i snapped some pics of some folks i had seen all week and never spoke to - until the almost fight

after the almost fight - i headed to the lido deck for one last drink alone

grabbed my son

and headed to our room to get ready to leave in the morning

we had a 7AM wakeup - room service at 7:30 and by 8:30 i was on the shuttle bus headed to my car

what did i learn on the cruise:

1. i need to lose a lot of weight - some clothes i took with me didn't fit
2. i like wine but i don't like the bar bill
3. i don't like feeling captured with a bunch of tourists floating
4. cruising may be nice but it's not my style
5. there is no place like home

Fun report, love the pics of the ruins and ski lift chairs over the sea was just plain strange to witness as I am used to seeing them on the hills.

I only went to Ochie once on a scooter, and that is what I remember most about my time there, seeing all the boat people nervously looking at their watches. There is one cruise I would love to take but that would be an arctic cruise. I wouldn't care about getting off the boat, I want to go just to see the scenery go by.

Enjoyed the report, pictures and your perspective on Cruising! I have never been on a cruise, dont have the desire, same thing day in and day out for 7 days would drive me crazy. Although, I probably could stay in the Casino for as long as my money would allow.

Loved tagging along! Your report makes me see exactly why I've never been on a cruise. I had someone offer to take me with them on a cruise recently but declined because I can't imagine spending almost a week floating around...bored to death anyone? I can Well can't say yu neva experience it

Great trip report. I´ve never been on a cruise either and it is interesting reading your take on it, much the same as mine I think - looks too crowded, all herded onto shore, lol at the image of the bedroom floating away.....

Wonderful they had a hang-out for the teens.

Where is Roatan?

113 $ for 5 bottles of wine?!

My local supermarket sells a good South African wine for 4 euros a litre.....
