Do you recommend your hotel? My favorite place is a bit out of my budget for a quick trip. Did you do any snorkeling? See the ruins?

Man... im sure its great rootsy.. but these images ruined the memories in my head.... i was there at 14 years old.. budding hippy.. was with a small group of five boys , five girls.. on a camping.. (not really) trip around mexico for the summer. when i went to isla mujeres.. was just a lazy island.. with a few small places to stay.. and hammocks on the beach.. i slept on a hammock. for a few nites.. swam with turtles.... its built up now [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif[/img]

thanks for sharing.. im sure it has its beauty still.. but it was more like gilligans island to me in my mind...

It went down to the beach. This was on the north,
high end of the island.
