[img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img] Yea Magic...I guess I'd feel like I like I lost my mind during this trip....If I had one to begin with. We covered over 5000 miles and managed to turn another vehicle into a totally trashed garbage wagon!
...now,...about the buffalo. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif[/img]
.........it seems that "way back when", some white government employee had the bright idea that the best way to get rid of the uncivilized savage local inhabitants was to eradicate their food supply (buffalo), and replace them with cattle and sheep, which provided the added bonus of wiping out the grasslands, so that the sagebrush could thrive, and take over.
.............fortunately for us today, a few wise buffalo found a way to survive.

....they moved into white trash trailer courts where they wouldn't be noticed, and survive happily today.

Hey Loolu!...ok...one more pic.
....this particular Buffalo is what I would call a "holdout". Five years ago I was driving through this area, on the way to a "roundup", where they innoculate the herd against diseases, that they never had to deal with before the "great eradication".
.....as I was driving, this Grandfather Spirit walked out of the woods about 5 miles from where the roundup was taking place. Man, I was in awe! I had never seen anything like him. He was uniquely HUGE!...and it kinda scared me.
....so....as we were driving through the place this time...guess what happens. He walks out of the woods again!... and stops and stares at me......this time, about 15 miles from the main herd. ....it was spooky!....somehow, I don't think he's real. ....I felt like I was being swallowed by his eyes.
