...we saw a lot of lightning off in the distance

...in the middle of it....

...pulling off at an exit near the airport...looking for a motel...I got this shot totally by accident.....I snapped a pic of another thing as we were driving; the shutter delayed about 4 seconds, and popped up with this!

....pulled up to a nondescript "Best Western" and got a room.

...there was an extra door on the other side of our room...so we got curious and opened it.
........WaaaLaaaaa!.....the Carribean!.....Too wierd. Glass roof and sun...and probably 20 below during the winter outside.

...OK ...I'm going to wrap this up cuz I'm getting tired of this...time to move on! [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif[/img]
........We left Great falls,Montana behind and headed through the rockies toward Missoula, where, we knew it would only be a matter of 8 hrs. or so before we were home....in time for the work party that I had arranged for the next day, Sunday. (preparation for the 4th of July BBQ party)...

....approaching the Rockies (jeez!, these pics got mangled somewhere in the process...oh well. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70456-eyebrows.gif[/img])

...Snuck through Lincoln, Mont. just before a parade was about to start. People were fighting for the front row seats in front of the taverns.

...once on I-90, things got boring...
...except for this all-time, prime, must do, in yur face tourist trap...($10k silver dollah bar)

...Obligatory trip-report toe shot....

...Spokane, Wa. ....the beginning of the end...

...got these last 4 shots of the Columbia just as my camera batteries were dying and my memory card filled up. (had to delete a few to make room.)

...Nan, we ran out of time to go through Glacier Park like LB wanted....then we just found out today from a friend who is now living in Montana, that the "Road to the Sun" is closed this year due to a massive number of slides from last winter. a god at work? Hey Roots! [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wavey.gif[/img]...I got a collection of pics in a "rustbucket" file...of old dead cars an trucks in fields....If I'd even started taking any of "those" on this trip, we'd still be on the road....fortunately, I limited myself to mostly car window shots....
