The longest runway at Santos Dumont is 4,143 feet long.

By comparison, the runways at NY LaGuardia are 7,000 feet.

The crew flying into this airport undergo special training.
Also the aircraft is payload restricted, as it can't take a full load. That's why they only use it for the shuttle to Sao Paulo which is only 40 minutes away.
