anyone on the board who knows people by the last name, Lindo, that live in Jamaica?.....trying to find relatives of my son's father.

Wow Jewel - this is a tall - TALL order.
As I'm sure you already know, this is a common name in JA.
Shudder to think how many Lindos are listed in the phone book - not to mention the ones that aren't listed or have no listing to MAKE!
Just in St Mary alone I know nearly a 10.
Don't know how far or deep you'd want to take this search but I'm guessing doing it here might be too wide a net ... ?

Actually I didn't realize that Lindo was that common of a name....and yes, I would be interested in contacting an agency that could help me, but wasn't sure where to start....would be grateful for any help. Thanks.
My son's father, who lives in the US is being anything but co-operative, so is no help to me...would like my son to know his roots.Comment

what about that radio show that used to help people find lost loved ones in ja.
I can't remember the name of that show or the host, but someone here will know it. you can try giving the host a call, seems it really helps.Comment

I too know several Lindo's...the man I knew the best is David Lindo and back when I lived in Ochi was managed a tourist destination in Mobay. He was a member and officer of AJAL (Association of Jamaica Attractions Ltd). They may still have a website if the assoc is active and maybe even a contact list.
I believe he managed the beach there on the left as you leave Rosehall area heading East. Cant remember the name.Comment
