MY BROTHER

Please could someone help me. I came to Jamaica in April 1994 to visit my brother who was then living in an apartment complex in Ocho-Rios. I have not heard from him since (15 years ago) and wonder if he is still living there, or even if he is alive or dead !! His name is CHRISTOPHER GUIRY, he would be about 60years old now, Caucasian, and he used to have an office in downtown Ocho where he ran Pirate Ship Cruises for tourists in Ocho Bay, but at the time of my visit, the ship was in dry dock in Kingston Harbour. If anyone can help me with ANY information at all, I would be so grateful.

Hello Seaford Boy. Wish I could help. I remember Tironga. Sadly I dont remember much about it. I will check with my former boss. He operated numerous sail boats out of Ocho Rios and I worked for him from 1992-1997. But he will remember better than me who was who and who sailed what boats.

I dont think that this is him but the link that you sent was helpful. It gave me a bit more info. I have found out that his vessel sank in Kingston Bay in 1996.

Have since found out that the &quot;Tironga&quot;, his tourist ship, sank in Kingston Bay in 1996...I do not know if he was on board or anything more, and I still haven't located him.

If the vessel sank in that area even if he was on it, he would have survived. tHat is an enclosed harbour and extensively piloted and travelled.vessels rarely sink there and nobody dies on vessels that have mishaps there. Did you try a Cayman Island web page?/
Since There was a pirate ship operating her up to the 2004 hurricane. I think it was previously in Jamaica.It probably is still operational. Although I saw it about a mile inland after the hurricane hit. And there was a poster out of Cayman Island that had some connection to it, that use to post on here regularly. I think he posted a few months ago, after quite an absence.
