When I went to see a taxi driver I have known for seven years I could not find him. He worked in the Mobay area. His name is Trevor Campbell. He's about 35- 45 yrs. of age, average built, around 6' tall. He was a hack, ( non licensed taxi driver) until sometime after March 2004, then he wore the red pants and could enter into the hotel properties. He had a son named Andre who would be around 11 now.
I left his phone number at home so I went to the places he often can be found. The guard at the Wyndam in Mobay did not know him, this was odd because he was there often and they could locate him for me whenever I could not find him. The bellhop did not know him either. I thought there may be new employees since the hotel was under new ownership.We went around to the taxi stand there behind the hotel to ask around.
One man said he knew a man by the name Trevor Campbell, he said no one knew where he was. He said about a year ago he was grabbed from his car and taken away and not heard from since. The man went on to say he is thought to have been killed but no body has been found. He has a brother in the states who is looking for him too.
I've tried the paper archives, but as yet cannot find any mention of the incident. I did not know him well but our kids hung out together, he always did us right and took us around when we were in town. Last January he was supposed to take us to the airport and never showed up, I'd seen him a few hours before. Has anyone heard of this guy or what happened to him?
