Hello,
I returned home day before yesterday from a missions trip to Jamaica. While there, our team met a man who is living on the streets of Montego Bay. We promised to try to find his mother or other relatives.
He gave us a few details of his life... he was a gang member (leader?) from 1969-1972. Probably (or formerly) Rasta. He lived in the States for a time - we believe in Florida - and got mixed up in some bad things and was deported.
His full name is David Anthony Morris. He says his mother is Beryl Morris and that she lives in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. By Dave's apparent age, we guess his mother must be in her 70's. She could be living alone or with family, in a nursing home, or perhaps even has passed away. She could even be remarried, thus having a different last name. I couldn't find a listing for her in the Fort Lauderdale phone book. Dave never mentioned his father, nor did he tell us of other family by name. He apparently does have a few family members in Jamaica, but they are not in a position to help him.
Dave needs help to get himself clean and off the streets. He's in desperate need of medical attention. He's a very intelligent, loveable guy who - perhaps through his own bad choices - is now in a predicament.
Does anyone know where I could find Beryl Morris, or any other of Dave's relatives or friends?
Thank you!
