The newest newbie

Hello, hello everybody!
My name is Jens Peter, and im moving to Jamaica in less than 3 years
I have decided that that is the gold in my life: To live in a paradise

So I'm going to need a lot of information of course
To start with a question, who here have moved to Jamaica, just like im planing?
I would love to hear about the experience

Hey Kia=)

Well..i have never been in Jamaica without being in my imagination..

But, I have lived 10 years in Portugal, since I was 10..Then I moved back to Denmark to study..Until I founded out that I couldnt really live in this clima..So I have decided that I am moving to a tropical country!
So I decided for JAmaica cuz its a english talking country, Its not too exposed, and still good job oportunities if you are good!
The thing I wanna do is to be a photographer with own studio

So, if U can give any better country than Jamaica to move to, I would love to hear about it:P

It may be difficult to get a job in Jamaica. Non citizens need work permits. Qualified Jamaicans get preference (as it should be).

Yes of course they should have preference but if i open my own business then it should be good, any then if it goes good i can even empley a jamaican!

Photography in Jamaica is a good enterprise... I know lots of succesful photographers

Live in the UK at the mo moving to the Island in a few years, remember in life you can always be sure of 3 things

1. People need food
2. people need entertainment
