Minister of Education Ronald Thwaites (second left) makes a point to author Etheline Aiken at the launch of her book The Queen's School in transition 1971-1991 on Saturday, March 22, 2014 on the grounds of the school on Central Avenue in St Andrew. The book launch forms part of year-long anniversary celebrations for the school of which Aiken served as principal for some 20 years. Sharing in the occasion is keynote speaker for the evening Right Reverend Howard Thompson (left), Bishop of Kingston, and Venerable Dr Edmund Davis, archdeacon of Kingston and rector of St George's Anglican Church, East Street, Kingston. The Queen's School is celebrating 60 years of existence and is a part of the Anglican Diocese of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.
