Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller signs the condolence book for late former prime minister and president of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, ANR Robinson, who passed away last Wednesday, April 9. The prime minister visited the Trinidad and Tobago High Commission in Kingston yesterday to pay her respects to the former leader. Looking on is Dr Iva Gloudon, Trinidad and Tobago High Commissioner to Jamaica. Prime Minister Simpson Miller said "Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean has lost a giant of a human being, a distinguished leader and statesman, and a true son of our regional community". Simpson Miller described Robinson as one of the Caribbean's most accomplished leaders who fought vigorously and advocated strongly for the sovereign rights of his countrymen and the Caribbean people.
