Yemeni female university students celebrate during their graduation ceremony in Sanaa, Yemen. According to the government, the illiteracy rate in Yemen stands at 70 per cent in the countryside, and in the cities up to 38 per cent. Traditionally, female Yemenis rarely study past the 6th grade.
