This monument was unveiled at the spot in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Manchester, where noted political figure and trade unionist Allan Coombs 'Father Coombs' was reburied last year August. His body was exhumed from a pauper's grave at May Pen Cemetery more than 40 years after he was originally laid to rest. Coombs was the adoptive father of Mandeville businesswoman Sylvia Lyn. The Lyn family owns Oaklawn Memorial Gardens and Lyn's Funeral Home.
