Jamaica Public Service workmen yesterday carry out final installation of the Residential Advanced Metering Infrastructure in Olympic Gardens, Kingston, as the light and power company continues its drive to reduce the theft of electricity. The company will today start connecting residents of Olympic Gardens and surrounding communities to the new metering system. The Jamaica Observer understands that some households in the community were illegal connected to the power grid for up to 40 years.
