German ambassador to Jamaica Josef Beck (right) and a volunteer from home appliance retailer Singer Jamaica Limited shovel dirt around the roots of a tree planted during yesterday's unveiling of the Hagen-Portmore Climate Change Park in Portmore, St Catherine. The park, which is a partnership between Pormore and the German city of Hagen, will occupy 15 acres of land across from the Portmore Mall. When complete, it will have sustainable energy and water features and will be a major green area in the densely-populated community. The Climate Change Park was the National Labour Day project for 2014.
