President of the Trelawny Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS) Chapter Wendel Stewart (left) and contestants in the 2014 National Farm Queen Competition look on as JAS President Norman Grant cuts the ribbon to officially open the farmers' Internet café at the Denbigh Show Ground May Pen Clarendon on Wednesday. It is the first of 13 to be established by the JAS for use by farmers and staff, Grant says. Computers for the facilities are among those donated by the Korean Government though, valued at $13.50 million. Three computers were handed to president of the parish associations of each JAS chapter, 50 went to the Jamaica 4-H Clubs and five to the All Island Banana Growers Association. Other are to be distributed to other farming groups, schools and churches, the JAS says.
