Former Prime Minister P J Pattersoon (second left), as well as Dr Vin Lawrence (left), Calabar High Principal Albert Corcher (second right), and Rev Karl Johnson (right), chairman of school board, peruse a copy of The History of Calabar High School 1912-2012 written by Arnold Bertram (centre). Occasion was the official launch of the book at Sagicor Auditorium in New Kingston last Thursday. Patterson, himself a Calabar old boy, in his guest address, praised Bertram -- also a Calabar past student -- for his acumen for diligent research. Patterson described the book as "a compelling narrative, combining social history with appreciation of the political process" which Bertram uses to trace the development of the school.
