An upcoming dancehall artiste created quite a stir in Half-Way-Tree, St Andrew yesterday evening when he climbed a transmitter pole at Irie and ZIP FM radio stations on Courtney Walsh Drive and threatened to jump if his song was not played. The artiste, who was identified by the moniker I Kon D Link, was reportedly observed climbing the tower about 5:00 pm, drawing scores of onlookers to the scene before he was rescued by the police and firemen. He was later carted off to jail. Photos from a video grab (anti-clockwise from top left) show the artiste being rescued from the tower, then being interrogated inside the radio station, then being led out to a police car.
