A maritime cadet extends his hand in prayer during yesterday's church service at Pentecostal Tabernacle on Wildman Street, Kingston, to mark World Maritime Day and the start of Maritime Awareness Week. An initiative of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), World Maritime Day focuses on the importance of shipping safety, maritime security and the marine environment. It was observed the theme 'IMO Conventions: Effective Implementation'.
