JAMAICA Observer's senior photographer Joseph Wellington worked the cameras for this photo story on the conferral of the national honour, the Order of Distinction (Officer Class) on veteran journalist, Desmond Allen, for sterling contribution to the field of journalism on National Heroes' Day at King's House. The presentation ceremony was followed by a brunch hosted by Sandals/ATL Chairman Gordon 'Butch' Stewart at the Venetian, Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel in Kingston.
