Edith Allwood Anderson, former Jamaica Nurses' Association president, receives a kiss from John McFarlane, president of the Kidney Support Foundation of Jamaica, Sunday during the foundation's Annual Patients' Day. Allwood was among approximately 300 dialysis patients -- including doctors, nurses and other medical practitioners -- at the event held at Tapioca Village in Devon Pen, St Mary on Sunday. The day began with a breakfast of favourite Jamaican foods, after which the patients engaged in various fun activities, including talent contests. They were also presented with gift packages and other items.
