A team from the Portmore Municipal Council, led by Mayor Leon Thomas (left), yesterday removed a tree from a defective drain on West Trade Way in the municipality, five days after the matter was first highlighted by the Jamaica Observer. The tree in the road posed a traffic hazard and security risk to persons using that commercial section of Portmore.
