JAMAICA Observer online readers have weighed in on the clampdown on sidewalk vending by the Kingston and St Andrew Corporation (KSAC) in Half-Way-Tree. During an operation last Friday, members of the KSAC team were surprised by the items removed from some of the stalls they destroyed. According to the KSAC, a number of the sidewalk stalls were equipped with gas cylinders, stoves and, in some cases, bed structures. Here are some edited comments:
