THE intervention of the British High Commission (BHC) in the case of 64-year-old Lloyd Bogle, who is stranded in the island after being denied a visa to return to England where he has lived since age seven, has been greeted with relief by Jamaica Observer online readers. The Observer, too, is in for praises for using its front page on Tuesday to highlight Bogle's plight. Bogle was barred from leaving the island in October after a two-week vacation in Portland -- his first trip to Jamaica since leaving in the late 1950s.
