Students from schools across the Corporate Area participate in a peace march in downtown Kingston yesterday. The march, which began at the St Andrew Technical High School off Spanish Town Road, and ended at the St William Grant Park, was part of efforts by the schools to mark World Peace Day. The event was organised by Peace and Love in Society (PALS) and themed 'A Better Jamaica - Peace by Peace'. "We want peace, we want peace," the students, waving their peace banners, chanted as they marched under the watchful eyes of their teachers and members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force. The march was welcomed by vendors in downtown Kingston. "We really feel proud to see what the youth, the leaders of tomorrow, are doing in this call for peace," said one vendor."This is what we need to see all across the country," said another vendor.
