Smoke from Riverton fire forces Portmore schools to close
STUDENTS at the Ascot infant, primary and junior high schools in Portmore, St Catherine, were sent home when they turned up for classes yesterday, as smog from the fire still burning at the Riverton City dump continued to choke the area.
