JAMAICA Observer online readers have largely criticised National Security Minister Peter Bunting over his declaration that he believes there is no direct correlation between crime and poverty. Bunting, responding to a question raised by a member of the Diaspora at the just concluded biennial conference in St James, argued that "if poverty had that direct correlation, then Haiti would be the most violent country in the Caribbean".
