KINGSTON, Jamaica — After it was reported on Tuesday that a Jamaican man, who had been languishing in prison in Qatar and subjected to abuse by other inmates, was released and that the Government was not aware of this, Foreign Minister Senator A J Nicholson has gone on the defensive.
